January Is Half Over

I can not believe how fast the days zoom by. I have been meaning to get to this blog and up date it but have been focusing on my
weight loss blog.
I have been going through our two filing cabinets and shredding tons of old invoices, EOBs some as far back as 1986, haha, guess thats what I get for being married to CPA who hates to throw ANYTHING out!
It is my desire to be completely "clutter free" by end of the year (and it may take me that long!)
Anyway, everyone in the family is doing well. Mike & I were Blessed to have the opportunity to take a road trip to Kansas City to see the three daughters & grandkids. We left here and drove to Amarillo Texas where we stopped off and dropped of some things to my Mom, visited with she & my sister & brother-in-law, then it was on to Kansas CIty (10 hrs. from Amarillo)
We got to our daughter Melanie's and stayed with her & her little family in their BEAUTIFUL new home, my goodness, it is so warm & inviting! While we were there Mike got to visit with his Dad for a day while Melanie & I did some running around, taking her daughter, (age 2) to Build a Bear where she built a beautiful & sparkly Unicorn!! We met up with Daughter Misty & her two beautiful girls, Camille (9 yrs.) & Danielle (4 mths) Camille made a beautiful blue bear with peace signs all of it & silver high heels , with a denim skirt.. too cute! After visiting with the family in K.C. we decided since the weather was being so cooperative that we would take a drive (6 hours) up to Bloomington IL. to see my Dad & family.
It was so nice to get to see 2 of my step sisters, and a new niece & nephew I had not gotten to meet yet!
After two days in Bloomington we were on the road again back to Texas to see my Mom one more time! She will be 87 this February & becoming more fragile too quickly. We made it home Monday before Christmas, Mike went back to work, and I did laundry, wrapped presents and we left agin on the 23rd to go to daughter Nikkis house for Christmas.
I will say one thing, December was a wonder month, and I am so extremely grateful that we were able to do what we did.
